Ranchero's Grill Davao

CDO and Davao Bloggers at Ranchero's Grill Davao

The journey started with the Cagayan de Oro Bloggers‘ trip from CDO to Davao City. The Davao Bloggers met up with them at Ranchero’s Grill Davao where we enjoyed a feast of Filipino foods with various seafoods dishes as highlights. Appetizers, soups, and a variety of main course dishes excited the palates of the participants. The yummy lunch ended with fresh fruits which the participants enjoyed.

The lunch was punctuated by the introduction of the participants and reminders on the event’s goals and itinerary. And with that, the participants headed to the Overland Terminal for their land trip to General Santos City.

At GSC, lead organizers Avel and Orman Manansala with the support of Mayor Pedro “Jun” Acharon brought the participants to the Ice Castle Experience, our official residence.

Pacman Sports Bar

Pacman Sports Bar

After settling in our comfy rooms, the group proceeded to the Pacman Sports Bar for what was supposed to be appetizers and drinks. It turned out to be a feast of finger foods and appetizer favorites such as sisig, beef tenderloin tips, and cheesesticks.

General Santos City Caterer

Le Jardin Arnevel

For the participants’ dinner, the group went to Le Jardin Arnevel where a cornucopia of Filipino dishes was waiting for them.

General Santos City Restaurant

Bloggers at the PiYESta KTV and Restobar

For the final stop of the night, CDO and Davao Bloggers met up with members of the host group, Soccsksargen Bloggers at PiYESta KTV and Restobar owned and managed by blogger Donna Mae Congson. It was indeed a PiYESta as the participants ate the best pulutan offerings of PiYESta while drinking samples of PiYESta’s cocktail drinks: Jello Shots, Gayuma, and Rhum Iced Tea. Another plus? Lechon from Mayor Acharon. The participants enjoyed the cocktails and yummy food as they mingled and got to know more of each other.

It was a day full of food, fun, and friendship!

Thank you to all our sponsors and lead organizers: Avel and Orman Manansala of Soccsksargen Bloggers, Brendel Balaga of Davao Bloggers, and Chiq Montes of CDO Bloggers! :)
